International Free Mark Lankford Campaign
Random Observations, volume 13 (American National Day edition), 4th July 2008
Hello everyone! It has been a
long, tough trek, but I'm still alive, fighting and smiling. No
matter what the foolish prosecutors and their little blind
followers say or do, I know the truth. It's summer in the USA and
everyone is upset due to an economy that is shot and gasoline at
$4 and above per gallon. Did people always think finite resources
would be cheap?
The sentencing is set for 17-18 July, but I think it will be only
the 17th. I had a visit with Attorney Chuck Kovis and a
woman from the Parole Board. She does the "Pre-sentence
report and don't expect any positive or objective analysis on
this aspect of the matter. What we should expect is the very
worst, most unfair and one-sided drivel, for this is Idaho.
I do request everyone possible to write Judge Bradbury [postal
address, see Press file,
page 15] in my behalf. These letters become part of the record
and obviate the lies of Bryan, the unethical prosecutors and any
other hatred-filled, bottom-feeders parasitically attached to
them. We can only pray for these people, as they have nominated
themselves as my mortal enemies and cling to some dishonest claim
to victim-hood.
Remember that all things change and this too, shall pass. We will
win. The Motion for a new trial should result in a Hearing in
August or September. I anticipate filing another Motion, on the
other grounds, before or within a week after sentencing. Idaho
knows that I will never give up, for I've shown steadfast
determination since 1983! How bout them Cowboys!?
On the support for freedom letters, a short bio, how you know me
and what you may think of such an error-prone and unfair system
will suffice. Of course, anything else you wish to add would be
good. The judge is a good man, even though my attorney says he
sleeps half the time. I do wish to thank everyone for the fine
letters already sent in my behalf. After 25 years, one would
think, even if only on humanitarian grounds, relief would be
considered. In Idaho, you would be wrong. Idaho would execute
Jesus Christ, with few in dissent.
Bryan is laughing at how he has made a mockery of the system. He
said he would do this back in 1993, when he beat the Death
Penalty. I just didn't think the system would spread its legs for
him.
Stay strong and let our light shine! To those that care, thank
you so much. Your heart matters. Write me and fight the good
fight.
